Questions
Candle label FAQ
What is a candle label maker?
It is a tool that designs the labels you put on your candle jars and tins. You type your brand name, scent and weight, and it creates a print-ready label design you can print at home or send to a print shop.
Is it free?
The warning label generator and the print sheet are free. AI label designs cost 1 credit each. New accounts get 3 free credits, and credit packs start at $4.99. Credits never expire.
What should be on a candle label?
Most candle makers include the brand name, scent name, net weight, and a fire safety warning. In the US, the industry standard ASTM F2058 describes a warning with a safety alert symbol, the word WARNING, and statements such as “Burn within sight”, “Keep away from things that catch fire” and “Keep away from children and pets”. Check your local rules for anything else you must include.
Do I need a warning label on my candles?
ASTM F2058 is a voluntary US standard, but most candle makers and many retailers follow it. Our free warning label generator lays out the text in that format. It is a design aid, not a legal or compliance review.
What paper should I print candle labels on?
Use matte or glossy full-sheet sticker paper (US Letter) in an inkjet or laser printer, then cut along the guides. Print at 100% scale, not “fit to page”, so the labels come out at the right size.
Can I use the designs commercially?
Yes. You can use the labels you make on candles you sell. Don’t ask for other companies’ logos or trademarked characters — those are blocked.
